Warriors At Home: join in!

Post by josie andrews »

All over the world, people are working out of makeshift offices in their own homes, which has sparked a train of thought in our minds - are our supporters now working out of offices decked from top to bottom with Wigan Warriors memorabilia?

We’ve launched Warriors At Home to find out which fans are spending their days surrounded by iconography from their favourite club, with scarves, posters and pennants on the walls of bedrooms or lounges replacing the health and safety notices, fire extinguishers and whiteboards that normally surround so many office environments.

If you’re now spending the day being watched over by huge posters of an icon like Martin Offiah or a rising star like Liam Marshall, or maybe just have Cherry and White on every wall you can see, we want to share your photos of what your new Wigan Warriors workplace looks like!

Admittedly, there’s no real rhyme or reason to our plans - we simply want to share the feelgood factor about our club to help make fellow supporters smile at a time when the world in general needs a lift.

To get involved, use the hashtag #WarriorsAtHome to engage with us via Twitter, Facebook and Instagram and share the highest quality photos or videos that you can take to show why your ‘office’ is effectively like a scaled down version of the DW Stadium! You can also email entries to Adrian Ward via a.ward@wiganwarriors.com if you’re happy for your entry to be shared via our website or social media platforms.

Don’t forget to include your laptop, PC, tablet or whatever apparatus you use to carry on with your working routine from a home location to create the work/Warriors contrast and we’ll share the best of the submissions throughout the course of each day.

Players and coaching staff are getting involved by working from home in their Warriors colours, so they’ve shared their photos with us to get things started!

For the next five days, we will pick the best entry from each day and each winner will be given a signed 2020 Wigan Warriors home or away shirt of their choice, in conjunction with the Club’s technical kit partner, hummel.

We will announce each winner at 8pm every night via our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram channels.

If you want to give your home a Warriors makeover during a period when you’re spending more time within it, don’t forget that our retail sale is in full swing, with free UK delivery on orders over £20.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
