Very sad. And condolences to his family and friends.
See the Wigan Today website was up to their usual level of reporting.
The ex-player quoted who was a member of the "gang of four" was Jack HILTON not Robinson.
Jack passed away some while ago but his contribution should not go unmentioned.

Very true, he was the rugby brain in the gang of four. He was actually chairman when Ellery was sold to Leeds.

I was a friend of Jack and his world fell apart with the loss of his son in a terrible way, he was never the same after that and a few years ago had a bad stroke.
Rest in peace Jack you will be missed.
