Wigan Warriors 'sign former Leeds captain for 2021'

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan have tied up a move to sign Toronto and former Leeds prop Brad Singleton.

Wigantoday revealed last week that the Warriors were chasing the 27-year-old following Wolfpacks' withdrawal from Super League.

And League Express is reporting the Cumbrian has now signed a three-year deal, which will start in 2021.

Singleton was a part of Leeds’ treble-winning side in 2015 and won another Grand Final in 2017, and has captained the Headingley giants.

He will become the club's second capture for next season, having already secured John Bateman's signature.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Yeah - we're a bit short of props!

I guess he replaces Ben Flower (assuming Toronto still exist) but we have young, impressive props at the club so I'm a bit lukewarm about the signing. It's probably because he's a Leeds player and that won't help our discipline.
