Listen Live from home: Hull KR vs Wigan

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors are delighted to announce Listen Live will return on Thursday night as Wigan face Hull KR in Round 11 of the Betfred Super League.

Listen Live began at the start of the 2020 season, bringing fans free live commentary of all first team fixtures. However, because of the limited access at the stadia Wigan have played at since the restart due to Covid-19 restrictions, Listen Live has been unable to broadcast.

Familiar to many Wigan fans from their previous commentary work, Joe Mills and Andrew Rimmer (Bilko) will be back to bring fans closer to the action, wherever they are.

Instead of commentating at Emerald Headingley Stadium on Thursday night, Mills and Rimmer will be together – socially distanced – from home and will be abiding by Covid-19 protocols.

The Listen Live feature on our website will give you the option to stream live commentary.

On the day of the game, the Listen Live feature will appear on the wiganwarriors.comhome page. Simply click through and click play! Please note, commentary will go live from 15 minutes before kick off (5:45pm on Thursday night).

For users of mixlr.com, you can find us under the username Wigan TV.

Ahead of Listen Live’s return, Mills said: “We’re really chuffed to be back. We’ve missed it terribly. We can’t wait to get going again and hopefully our fans can tune in to what should be an entertaining game of rugby league on Thursday night. It’s great to be back!”

Make sure to get involved with us on Twitter on Thursday by using the hashtag #ListenLive to let us know where you are listening from to be in with a chance of a shout out live on air!

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
