ROUND 14 FIXTURES CONFIRMED

Post by josie andrews »

Betfred Super League can announce the fixtures for Round 14 – to be played on 29 and 30 September and 1 October.

The government’s decision to pause its plans to allow a limited number of spectators back into sporting venues has seen some late adjustments to Super League’s Round 14 fixtures, which had been included in the government’s programme of pilot events.

The AJ Bell Stadium will host matches on Tuesday 29 September and the games will be live on Sky Sports. Fixtures on Wednesday 30 September will see Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants play at their own grounds.

Castleford Tigers will also go back to the Mend-A-Hose Jungle – but their match against Hull FC has moved from Wednesday 30 September to Thursday 1 October. The game will be live on Sky Sports at 7.45pm.

BETFRED SUPER LEAGUE ROUND 14 FIXTURES (SEPTEMBER 29, 30 and OCTOBER 1):

Tuesday 29 September (AJ Bell Stadium)
Salford Red Devils v Warrington Wolves (6pm - live on Sky Sports)

Wigan Warriors v St Helens (8.15pm - live on Sky Sports)

Wednesday 30 September
Huddersfield Giants v Hull KR (5.30pm, John Smith’s Stadium)

Leeds Rhinos v Catalans Dragons (7pm, Emerald Headingley Stadium)

Note: Both these matches will be accessible via the Our League app for season ticket holders.

Thursday 1 October
Castleford Tigers v Hull FC (7.45pm, Mend-A-Hose Jungle – live on Sky Sports)

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Only the games now played on Wednesday which will be available via the Our League app.

But what I have noticed is that Huddersfield have a home game as do Leeds! Again 🤨

Also Castleford can play at their own stadium which will be a boost for them playing on a door mat!! 😠

If its not televised, then there are not cost benefits to playing a group of games in a single stadium, so they get to play at home. The trade-off is that the fans can't watch unless they do that through our-game app.

I’ve no issue with teams playing at their home ground,no fans so no advantage

I disagree there are other advantages of playing at home aside from fans.

They're pretty marginal though.

Exactly, it's the same grass and the same colour.

Could be a disadvantage to the 'Home' team anyway as everything is different for them.
