Wigan-St Helens kick-off time switch

Post by josie andrews »

Kick-off times for the Super League double header at the AJ Bell Stadium on September 29 have been moved forward by half an hour due to changes in pub opening hours.

Under new Government restrictions to curb the spread of coronavirus, pubs have to close by 10pm.

The Super League announced on Thursday the match between Salford and Warrington will kick-off at 5:30pm, followed by Wigan v St Helens at 7:45pm, with both games broadcast live on Sky Sports.

Both fixtures will be played behind closed doors, with the Government having scrapped plans to allow spectators to return to sports venues on a socially-distanced basis from October 1.

The other scheduled 'Round 14' fixtures will remain the same.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
