Its annoying because i want to be excited about this signing but i cant for 2 reasons;
1) it probably means losing French and/or hastings.
2) Again we arent addressing the issues we have in the squad, most notably centre!. If gildart does leave that is the team without a single specialist centre that's super league standard
Jai Field has signed apparently

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure

Agreed, imperative we keep Gildart, or replace him with an equal standard Centre. If not, we'll have little attacking quality and lose most games, full stop.Wigan_forever1985 wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 9:14 am Its annoying because i want to be excited about this signing but i cant for 2 reasons;

If either or both of Hastings & French goes, it's possible Field can be as effective, as none of us knew a great deal about French when he arrived.
Hopefully at least one of those will stay and assist in Smith's career, especially if TL goes, which I think he should and help mentor Smith from the Coaching side.
