Sorry, forgot them.

But as you can see, far more brought in than developed whereas we have brought through numerous backrow forwards.

Prescott very underrated. Did a lot of the donkey work but he did it well.
Hamlin would of been better as second row, quick and strong but didn’t have the size. Think role like Farrells would of suited him, think he would of done a good job as well

There were some very sniffy comments made when we signed Andy Coley from Salford. He turned out to be a very good signing. Prescott came through in spite of our academy structure not because of it.
We now have had a good academy for years and the young guys coming through like Havard, Oli P, Byrne, Kilner have the makings of top class props. Plus Bullock and Singleton could go for a few seasons yet.
Props might have been a problem in the past but it doesn't look like it will be for some years to come.

Think they should dust off and wheel out Platt Skerrett & Cowie - they’d probably stilll sort a few opposition out!!!

Not always true, but props tend to come into their own later into their careers than other positions. Its tricky to bring them through straight from the academy without several years of development when they are at first team age. This is where the reserves and dual reg would really help i think.

Its easier to recruit someone like Bullock who's had time to develop after coming out of the academy.

Nah Les Boyd was just dirty. Sorensen was properly tough.

I remember seeing Sorensen, Tamati, Clark and Grima arriving at Central Park in the 1980s to watch a reserve game, they arrived in a Ford Escort. You couldn’t have got a cig paper in with them!!!!! When they got out, which was a struggle, the car went up about two feet 😀
