Hastings filling in at times in previous games is completely different to starting at hooker and playing the full match there.
Agree with that. If needed, Hastings does a useful job at hooker because he's happy to make runs from the PTB but his overall value at half-back outweighs that. Can be a useful tactic to confuse oppositions in second half to swap him to the hooker role.

6. French
23. Bibby
1. Hardaker
4. Gildart
5. Burgess
28. Smith
31. Hastings
38. Singleton
7. Leuluai
19. Bullock
11. Isa
12. Farrell
16. Smithies

13. O'Loughlin
14. Flower
17. Partington
20. Byrne

Leuluai has to play 9! Very experienced in this position and has two steel shoulders! O'Loughlin is a better shout that Clubb and Burgess and from the 21 mans squad named, we dont have many other options.

I think he will do too and I think he will start Partington over Smithies.

I hope he doesn't focus on bringing in bigger bodies and has Lockers, Clubb and Burgess at the expense of two from: Partington, Smithies, Byrne. We will lose too much workrate, firepower, drives etc.

Mark my words, this game will not go smoothly if Lockers, Clubb, Burgess are in the 17.

Without me being clouded by sentiment, I sincerly think for obvious reason O'Loughlin will have a positive impact (from the interchange bench).

Burgess and Clubb seasons should be over now, not worthy of this game or the grand final!

With how burgess seem to be doing (aka struggling with his injury still) if lockers is Fit that should be the only swap by choice.

With powell out, smith should step into the halves with TL at hooker.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Tommy to 9 for me.
If Lockers does play it will be his last ever game at the DW. It's such a shame it'll be in an empty stadium.

Good news - Harry Smith gets to start and presumably will play all match with SOL, Flower, Clubb & Smithies on the bench.
I'm a bit worried about Dom being absent from the 21 again, though. Let's get through this one and then we can have Greenwood, Powell and (hopefully) Dom back for the big one.

Possibly allows for Tommy to keep his defensive position as I would imagine Hull will try to run over the top of us
