New captain for 2021 ?

Post by Macward » Fri Nov 20, 2020 8:48 pm

I know it's long way off but with lockers retiring and maybe Tommy as well. Who would you like to see be given the arm band? I really think zac would be a good shout, I'd give it to Hastings if he had signed a longer contract but I'm guessing it will be Farrell

Farrell as first choice captain. Happy with Leuluai, Powell or Isa as a vice captain.

Leadership group, Farrell, Leuluai, Powell, Isa and Partington for me.

Powell 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage.

Powell has grown into the role, and will be another Wigan lifer.

Sam Powell for me as well. He’s kicked on a couple of levels as a player these past two seasons anyway but I think it would kick him on again.

There will be the leadership team around him anyway but he’d be the main man IMO.

He’s already been here eight years & funnily enough, his debut was against Hull FC same as Lockers 😊

That he would be captain in 2021 ? Or Wigan’s next captain?
