Basic, basic mistake. Less than two to go. Difficult pressure penalty kick or kick to touch and set up a drop?

Whatever went before doesn’t matter. The chance via drop goal was there or the taking. Stupidity cost us the game.

Only the likes of Sneyd should try those from that distance and even then in a final id have taken the option of not going for it, stupid decision really along with the goofball ref cost wigan the game.

As daft as it sounds it wouldn’t feel as bad if the drop goal had just gone over.
Have to say though Lam has earned my respect. I think the last 4/5 games of the season this is the Wigan we want to see.
Gutted but onwards and upwards.

Gutted thought half way through second half that the ref was leaning towards saints but the high tackle call was terrible decision. Couldn’t have asked much more from the players though and I think Lam has got a good team spirit at the club.
