Better training on there own vs pre season with the team?

I think not.

Less likely to catch Covid but what they will be doing in Aus won’t get close to what pre season training does.
And you know this how?
think hes right as pre season is brutal and is noticeable when missed or cut short

Pre season vs training on your own in Australia?

It isn’t even up for debate. If it was, why even bother with pre season? Why even train at all.

Who knows when the season will even start at the moment?

So how do you know the club hasn't set them a pre season training schedule to follow while down under in the glorious covid free weather

But how do you know the club hasn't set them up with a trainer who will push them to the desired level

how can you get there without full contact? Pre season is more than just running, The club will have sent them a schedule for sure but wont set them up with the other things, they will have to fork up for them theirselves

Images of the lads doing hill sprints at Haigh Hall in the snow should be enough to put your trolling efforts to bed.

Also, judging by their Instagram posts, they’re just on their jollies. Relaxing, seeing family, out drinking with friends. Unaware if they are training or to what extent as there haven’t been any posts about it to my knowledge. I don’t follow things on social media closely or often.

What would that achieve that cannot be achieved in Oz. (Other than cold toes)?

I wouldn’t worry too much about French and Hastings fitness levels, they’re both fit as fiddles and look to be fitness fanatics. I think giving them an extended break will be good for their mental well-being and it’s a decision that probably played a part in helping us keep them. I recall French in particular thanking the club for their understanding in allowing him extra time off when he signed his new deal. The season is starting nearly 2 months later than usual anyway, so I’m sure they’ll get far more time with the team in pre season than they did last year, even if they’re still at home for another couple of weeks. I think Hastings only came in a couple of weeks before the start last time.

George Burgess on the other hand should’ve been back weeks ago if he’s playing on. I don’t have any idea if he is back or not but I’m certainly not seeing him on any training pictures. If he is going to play on then you’d think every single day between now and the season start will be hugely important, to either get the physios working with him or to get him an operation and get him on the road to recovery.
