We are playing Wakefield on 1st April and Saints are playing Hull KR the same day.

What are everyone's thoughts? Doesn't seem to matter as much because it wouldn't have been at ours or their stadiums.

I'd expect the clubs would want to play Derby games as late as possible in the season, in the hope that spectators can attend.

It's a shame but needs must.

Wigan to face Wakefield in Round 2

Wigan Warriors and Wakefield Trinity will kick-off the Betfred Super League Easter Weekend Round 2 fixtures at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday 1st April.

Betfred Super League is set to come together and show its support for Mose Masoe across the Easter Weekend’s Round 2 fixtures.

The six games, all live on Sky Sports, will see two of Masoe’s former clubs meet, with Hull KR playing St Helens at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday 1st April (8:15pm K.O.).

Full details of the how fans can support Mose, who faces a long rehabilitation, will be announced ahead of the start of the season.

The other games in Round 2, which will all be played behind closed doors at the Totally Wicked Stadium, start on Easter Thursday with Wigan facing Wakefield (6pm K.O.).

Good Friday sees a further two games with Warrington Wolves taking on Leigh Centurions (12:45pm K.O.) before Leeds Rhinos play Castleford Tigers (3pm K.O.).

The round concludes on Easter Saturday with Salford Red Devils v Hull FC (12:45pm K.O.) and Huddersfield Giants v Catalans Dragons (3pm K.O.).

Super League executive chairman, Robert Elstone, said: “Mose Masoe’s remarkable spirit and determination provides inspiration for all us.

“As he moves into the next phase of his life and continues his rehabilitation, it is fitting that Super League clubs, players and fans thank Mose for everything he has given to the game, and help support him and his family in the future.”

The “traditional” Easter Weekend Super League fixtures will be held back until later in the season, in the hope that fans are allowed back into stadiums to enjoy these games in person.

Full fixtures for the 2021 Betfred Super League season will be published on Friday 26th February.
