Details confirmed for Rounds 6, 7 & 8

Post by josie andrews »

Betfred Super League have confirmed the fixtures for Rounds 6, 7 and 8 of the 2021 season, including the Sky Sports broadcast schedule.

With the UK government’s roadmap setting Monday 17th May as the earliest date fans are expected to return to stadia, a number of clubs have opted to move their fixtures to this date to hopefully be able to welcome fans back into stadiums for the first time in over 14 months.

As confirmed already, Wigan will travel to Leigh in Round 6 on Monday 17th May (7:45pm K.O.). Please note that the kick-off time has been brought forward 15 minutes as it was initially announced as an 8pm kick-off.

On Saturday 22nd May, the Warriors will make the trip to the AJ Bell Stadium to face Salford Red Devils in Round 7 (1pm K.O.).

In Round 8, the Cherry and Whites will be in Perpignan to play Catalans Dragons on Saturday 29th May (5pm K.O.), live on Sky Sports.

Ken Davy, Super League interim executive chairman, said: “We can’t wait to see our passionate fans back in grounds cheering their team on. We’ve waited a long time and that day cannot come soon enough, we will be another step closer to some kind of normality. We’re grateful for Sky Sports continued support and flexibility.”

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
