About to sign with Wests for next season good luck to the lad he has given it all for us. Cant be a pleasant thing when your family is on the other side of the world.

Edit he could be off this season if things pan out.

It's a shame but expected.
Hope there is no truth to going this year.

This explains the Smith news anyway.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Good luck to him, we can’t ask for more from him on the field than he has given us. It is a shame that Field is out for most of the season, as I guess that one possible plan had been to see if he could step up, and if so perhaps Hastings would leave early.

If he sees out his contract then I will be happy. He is an outstanding player and I hope he rounds off his career in England with some silverware.

hopefully puts an end to speculation now (although i am sure the early release wont go away)

from my perspective, good that its sorted, we can all move on and hopefully he can go out with a bang and a GF winners medal. he can concentrate on playing and not his future. if i recall correctly George Williams wasnt himself prior to announcing he was going to Oz, so getting this done quickly and comminicated will hopefully mean that JH can just play

Really diasappointed but not sirprised and in a way it's a relief to finally know what's happening. Never really felt that he was 'one of ours' but he won't let us down this season. My biggest worry is that the serious inury to Field will make it difficult to decide (not enough game time this season) if he really is a suitable replacement and we could end up taking a chance on someone on him rather than trying to sign a top replacemnet for Jackson. What we really need is for George to come back from his holiday in Canberra.
