Adrian Lam’s men head to Leeds’ Emerald Headingley Stadium on Saturday to face the side they beat 16-14 last Thursday in their Betfed Super League Round 5 clash.

Coach quotes

Speaking to the media in his weekly pre-match press conference on Wednesday, Lam discussed the challenge of taking on Hull for the second time in nine days.

“We’ve probably got the hardest draw out of everyone, both clubs would probably admit that. But we are looking forward to it.

It’ll be an aggressive game of Rugby League. I wouldn’t expect anything less.

“We’re expecting a tough, physical and entertaining game. We are prepared to knuckle down and do what it takes to be successful. It’s going to be a lot of hard work for everyone.”

Match officials

The man in the middle on Saturday afternoon will be Robert Hicks. Marcus Griffiths and Richard Thompson will run the lines, while James Child will be on video ref duties.

Smith: Keep improving

Half back Harry Smith looks ahead to Saturday’s Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Final.

Smith: “We didn’t show them our full potential. Hopefully we can this week.”

Hull FC v Wigan Warriors, Saturday 8th May, Emerald Headingley Stadium, K.O. 2:30pm.

Harry Smith believes there’s plenty more to come from the Warriors when they take on Hull FC this Saturday in the Betfred Challenge Cup Quarter Finals (K.O. 2:30pm).

The two sides will face off for the second time in nine days when they meet at Emerald Headingley for a place in the Semi Finals.

Speaking to Wigan TV earlier this week, the scrum half explained how the Brett Hodgson’s men didn’t see the best of Wigan last Thursday.

“We can still improve on last week, it wasn’t a ten out of ten performance from us and we didn’t show them our full potential. Hopefully we can this week.

We need to start as we did last week but keep the pressure on throughout. We need to turn the ball over in the right places, get a foothold and take advantage of that.”

The young scrum half also discussed how his relationship with veteran half back and captain Tommy Leuluai has helped improve his game this season.

“He’s always speaking to me and Jacko [Jackson Hastings] in training. We all have discussions after video meetings to look at what the opposition are going to do and he’s really good with me.

Catch the full interview as Harry discusses his good start to the campaign, more on learning from Tommy Leuluai and the circumstances of playing Hull FC back-to-back on Wigan TV HERE.

Best of luck today Harry!

With the heavy rain your kicking game could be key to winning today's match.

We don't want the nightmare of last years semi final defeat to Leeds!!!

Just terrible moves the best full back and pays the price but to be honest they dont have a move in the team and how many times do we say we need a big forward and every other team seems to find them
