Looking 3-5 months out. If the latter, means he’s out for the season.

Adrian Lam has revealed that Bevan French could be out for three to five months with a “lower hamstring tear”.

The fullback limped off during Wigan’s one-point triumph over Salford last weekend and Lam has now revealed that French will be sidelined for a long period, Wigan Today has reported.

“He’s seen a surgeon in the next 48 hours we’ll know a lot more then,” said Lam.

About the same time as Gildart then?

Having watched Bevan for the last few weeks I didn't think he looked fit, he certainly wasn't as quick as last season. I wonder if this has been an injury waiting to happen?

If his family member is still unwell I’d let him go home.

Might as well go back home and by the looks of things, Gildart might as well go with him. Another 2 weeks been saying that for the last month. Next thing we hear is that he needs an op.

I assume that this is some weird kind of coincidence but 3 Aussie players (Field, French, Inglis) having at least 2 months and probably more out with similar injuries. I appreciate hamstring injuries can differ in severity but for 3 players to suffer the worst kind of injury might bear looking at. If it's just bad luck, then we (and they) have to live with it but it needs to be looked at with regard to any future off-season absences down under.
