In Memoriam: Barbara Thompson

Post by josie andrews »

Today, Wigan Warriors are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of The Riversiders Supporters Club treasurer Barbara Thompson.

Barbara has been involved with The Riversiders over 30 years – going back to Wigan’s Central Park days. All our thoughts are with Barbara’s family – including her husband Keith, daughters Tabatha and Samantha and grandchildren Jack, Charlotte and Barrie – and all her friends at this very sad time.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
