Wigan Rugby Heritage Society Launched!

Post by ancientnloyal »

Hello,
We have softly launched a new Wigan Rugby Heritage Society over our social media platforms: Facebook @WiganRugbyHeritageSociety and Twitter: @Wigan_Heritage
A website is coming (www.WiganRugbyHeritageSociety.co.uk)

We aim to preserve and celebrate the rich history and heritage of the Wigan club. We aim to have exhibitions, match day experiences, talks, presentations, video nights, past player nights, dementia group talks, family and ancestral research, and above all to use membership fees and funding to purchase items at auction or elsewhere such as caps, medals, shirts, trophies or pineapple rings that is significant to the Wigan club in order to keep it in a public collection and not stored away in a private collection.

A lot of work has been done already and we will be working with the Wigan club.

Membership details will be given in due course but if anyone is interested or would like to be involved send an email to info@wiganrugbyheritagesociety.co.uk

Over the next few weeks we will be ready to get our membership up and running and have a meeting and start our Events!
