Would have thought KPP and Shorrocks might have been awarded with first 17 squad numbers on last season.

Is Field at 23 possibly a sign he is on his way out? Thought Cust would be 7 personally.

Nice to see Bibby at 2. Suppose these days, squad numbers don't paint the whole picture.

Just said the same about KPP & Shorrocks! Yes & pleased for Bibby too 😊
Disappointed that Partington has dropped a couple of numbers from 14 but as you say numbers don’t mean much in the great scheme of things!

Farrell, Bateman & Isa. Which 2 do you replace with Shorrocks and KPP?

First one is easy, Shorrocks for Isa.

I would put Bateman back at 11 and Shorrocks to 13.

I think Partington is massively underrated, works extremely hard! Seems to receive unfair criticism because he isn't 6ft5 and 18st!

Well if squad numbers are based on performance and position, Bateman isn't looking like a 13 and Shorrocks is! Furthermore he had a solid season last season!

Willie Isa is worthy of 11 but KPP is the future and again for someone so young, looked superb last season!

Amazes me how some on here are so critical of our youthful pack!

I hope giving Tommy the 7 shirt is just a gesture for this being his last season(hopefully) as I don’t think he offers anything as ball playing half

Well, if they change the rules so a team can pick 6 second rows at once we will conquer all before us.

With Frinch unable to train and get over here and Smith recovering from major surgery, the stark issue of course is that we may very go into the season with a spine of Hanley - Cust - Leuluai - Powell - Shorrocks. Unless Shorrocks moves from honest trier to O’Loughlin’s heir, then Cust is the only potential play maker there. We had the worst attack in the league last year - and this looks even worse.
