6 foot 6 and nearly 16 stone it’s a no brainier.
Does the hard yards and tough carries. He’s nowhere near as bad as people are making out and thats a fact.

Is it true that the club have booked you to do a motivational talk to the players in the New Year, Dave?DaveO wrote: ↑Wed Dec 22, 2021 12:21 pm Presumably you think Zak should be at centre and French at FB? As you say neither likely to be available from the start of the season.
If so it's surely nailed on the centres will be Thornley and Bibby. Bibby is not a centre and Thornley is not good enough. It still blows my mind that knowing we needed at least one centre IL & Rads went and recruited Thornley. IL's very positive comments about him are unwarranted. If he actually believes what he said and it wasn't just a PR job he's on crack.

Re: Centres
So your opinion is based of 1 games?
Again not saying anything right or wrong as I didn't watch enough leigh Matches to know if he was good or bad but his stats don't say his defence is bad. Don't say its great either.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

no its just a game I thought you might have access too, no Leigh fan I know is sad to see him go, I went to a few Leigh games last year and was shocked when we signed him

Re: Centres
Did these tries go down his inside or outside shoulder ?
What was the positioning like of his two inside men? Presumably a halfback and second rower?
Did the winger defend the touch line?

Re: Centres
Ones on the inside aren’t his fault.
Rule number 1 - you defend your outside shoulder.
If someone’s coming on his inside then the question needs to be asked to who was next to him.
Seems you’ve made a decision about Thornleys defence without a good understanding of defence.

Re: Centres
ok, so if you've got your body in the wrong place and show someone the outside and he steps you thats not your fault? Of course it is, the slide isnt a foot away from you so cant cover that....watch the game and see how many times hes out of position.....rule number 1 is take your man.nathan_rugby wrote: ↑Thu Dec 23, 2021 10:07 pmOnes on the inside aren’t his fault.
