This is Tommy we are talking about - no one knows better than him how his body works and what he can contribute. He is too honourable a man to blag it. Tommy instead of Shorrocks on the bench is a huge bonus for us. So, whoever wrote the story earlier this week about Tommy holding up the trophy knew what he was writing after all... If I wasn’t excited enough already!!!

Field - Marshall - Bibby - Thornley (who was superb when we won the CC against Hull) - French
Cust - Smith
Singleton - O’Neill - Ellis
Bateman - Farrell - Smithies
Mago - Byrne - Havard - Tommy

In those we place our trust.

Thomas definitely in for me, even if it's off the bench. His defence work is superb and he'll strengthen the spine immensely, working his magic for Faz and our speedsters. And you're right to say he knows his own body - and too humble and loyal to make an appearance just for the glory.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Once the squad has been named, they can’t add someone else to it can they?

Tommy hasn't earned the right to play in such an important game straight back from injury, the End

Tommy,s form this season has earned him the right more than anyone else.He is the captain,a leader and every player looks up to him.He has never let the side down and imo is a certainty to play if fit.

Don't care who you are, you don't walk right back into a final after an injury with no fresh games under your belt, when others have worked hard during your absence to secure that place in the final and earn their right to play in it. sick to death of this type of culture

You might have a point with some players but I would argue that Tommy has earned it with his performances/effort over the season to date.
