Don’t think so.
Powell gets picked ahead of him all the time I bet he does.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Re: O Neil

If he really is going to be the one who eventually takes that 9 spot off Powell I don't see this as being the end. Powell is 29. When his contract runs out he will be 32. O Neill is 19 and when Powells contract runs out he will be 22. Absolutely perfect time to slowly move him in and phase Powell out imo.

It's interesting that those that dislike pointed out how better the team was with O'Neil yet our closest to a full 80 performance came with Powell back.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I can’t help feeling that some people are pleased with the extension so that they can have a good moan

Good signing.

Powell is steady enough and brings a wealth of experience in a key position.

Well said. I'm sure the plan is to slowly integrate O Neill over the period and ease Powell out. In Peet we trust.
