Re-birth of Fan Village

Post by josie andrews »

Friday 24th June will see the re-birth of our Fan Village at Robin Park Arena!

Ahead of Wigan’s first home game in two months, the Fan Village will open its doors once again with a number of new improvements following fan feedback.

The Warriors host Toulouse Olympique for the first time at the DW Stadium on a day where the Club will pay tribute and remember all the heroes who have served and continue to serve the country.

Ahead of Armed Forces Day on Saturday, a whole host of activity will take place at Robin Park Arena and the DW Stadium ahead of the first team game at 8pm. Click HERE for all the information.

On Friday, the Fan Village will open from 5:45pm. With a new Kingfisher Bar, a new ‘Anicent and Loyale’ Ale, new seating areas, new 75″ TVs, new family beanbag area and collectible player cards, our Fan Village will re-launch bigger and better than ever before. A special piece of artwork to encapsulate 150 years of Wigan Warriors will also be unveiled…

It is the perfect place to soak up the pre-match atmosphere on game day, featuring food and drink, live music from local talent and live Q&As before and after the game with first team players and MC Dom Walker. Central Fusion will be serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments including beer, cider, wine and spirits. Rijo coffee will also be available. The one and only Mighty Max, our Warrior Cheerleaders and the Wigan Rugby Heritage Society are always in attendance too.

Ahead of Friday’s Fan Village, Executive Director Kris Radlinski, said: “We can’t wait to get our fans back in the Fan Village. We conducted a questionnaire and asked them what they would like to see there and we believe that we delivered on most counts. We have not finished yet and we will continue to make improvements so that our fans can feel welcome there. Please look out for the player cards that will be given out by our stewards and staff.”

To gain entry to the Fan Village, all you need to do is show your match ticket as you arrive at the main entrance at Robin Park Arena. Please note it is card payment only throughout the Village.

Before heading into the Fan Village, why not visit our newly refurbished Club Store?

The Store has had a mini makeover with new fixtures and fittings. And how can we forget the Challenge Cup Final; visit our Store and pop-up Shop to purchase our winners range!

Our Club Store at Robin Park Arena is open until kick off at 8pm on Friday 24th June. The Store will reopen immediately after full time for approximately half an hour.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
