Wigan only have 1 in the squad full stop and he’s been injured more than he played so why shouldn’t halsall be playing?

It’s not though is it? He’s a winger who Wigan have played at centre and it sticks out like a sore thumb.
I don’t know what it is with Wigan but for years we have shoehorned players into the centres from other positions sometimes to their detriment like Jack Hughes.

From memory Hughes had never played a game at Centre in the academy or first team before getting the number 4 shirt.
Been told there are conversations around Thornleys contract for 2023. I assume if we were to mutually terminate then if its done this season any consideration paid would count on this years cap. It would be along the lines of Burgess, Not under contract but free to use club facilities and specialists until/if he finds a new club.

I would hope this is the case,it hasn’t worked out for the club or player he’d walked away with a nice cup final memory to add to his career stats to keep him is a huge risk for next season.
