Fan village to open early

Post by josie andrews »

Fan village at Robin Park Arena will open at the earlier time of 4pm for this Friday’s fixture against St Helens.

Food and drink will be available from opening right until kick off, with the bars re-opening after full time.

Our pop-up store and gaming area will also be open, with more player cards available to collect.

Join us from the earlier time of 4pm on Friday 26th August at our Robin Park Arena fan village for the build-up to derby day!

To get our Cherry & White supporters ready for the derby on Friday night, we will be opening our fan village doors at the earlier time of 4pm so you can soak up the atmosphere before heading to the stadium for the big match.

Here’s what you can expect at Robin Park Arena on Friday:

Local talent – playing live music throughout.

Plenty of great food and drink – Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic drinks are being served from our two bars within the fan village.

Wigan Warriors first team live Q&As before the game and match review after the game with MC Dom Walker. A chance to meet, have selfies and grab signatures with the players in attendance too.

Player cards. You can can collect the latest four player cards!

Meet Mighty Max – the Wigan Warriors Mascot will be there ahead of kick off.

Wigan Rugby Heritage Society – the guys from the WRHS will be in attendance on arrival in the indoor running track. Head over to see their latest stall.

Please note it is card payment only throughout the Fan Village.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early as we are anticipating large numbers in the fan village.

Tickets for Friday’s derby game are still available. Ticket information including pricing and how to buy can be found HERE. https://wiganwarriors.com/blog/2022/08/ ... -helens-h/

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

My only issues with the fan village now are that I find it a little too small. They could do with extending it even further. Also I find the music a little on the loud side and often when they have guest speakers the mic doesn't work very well. Still love the concept. In absolutely no way a criticism. Love going and will be there again on Friday
