Wonder who will play in the halves with Astley? Hanley is under investigation for a biting incident

Hull KR only able to name 18-man squad for Wigan Warriors test

Rovers, not for the first time, are depleted.

Hull KR have named their squad for Monday's clash with Wigan Warriors, with only eighteen players available for selection. Danny McGuire has named the same group of players as the one selected for the clash with Wakefield Trinity excluding Mikey Lewis, Jez Litten and Jimmy Keinhorst.

Lewis' season is over after suffering a concussion while Litten and Keinhorst are suspended after charges in the defeat to Wakefield Trinity. It leaves McGuire, yet again, with some really difficult selection decisions to make ahead of a tough clash against second-placed Wigan.

The depleted squad named means there will be more opportunities for some of the club's rising stars. The likes of Connor Barley and Zach Fishwick could be given another opportunity to impress while Will Tate is likely to be rewarded with another appearance after some promising displays.

The Warriors toppled St Helens on Friday and while they will have had a day less to recover and prepare, they have less injury and suspension concerns. Rovers are looking to end the season on a high despite their play-off hopes now over. With two games to play they could finish anywhere between fourth and eighth in the league.

Hull KR 18-man squad:

Ryan Hall,
Albert Vete,
Matt Parcell,
George King,
Kane Linnett,
Matty Storton,
Korbin Sims,
Elliot Minchella,
Rowan Milnes,
Will Maher,
Ethan Ryan,
Sam Wood,
Frankie Halton,
Will Tate,
Phoenix Laulu-Togaga'e,
Connor Moore,
Zach Fishwick,
Connor Barley.

I think Hanley is only up before the disciplinary on Wednesday.

Alex Sutton has played at #6 although not for a while, maybe Shorrocks.

Has Forber played in the halves? I thought he was a dummy-half. Looks a decent player, though.

Its more that he is the only option I can see for another half in this squad. If there is another option there I'd put Forber in at hooker for O'Neil.
