As selfish as this may sound, if he isn't fit for us to play in the playoffs or final if we make it, I don't want him to play for England. I'd rather he spends the winter resting and getting himself sorted for next season

He is going to be out for between 8 to 10 weeks. Massive blow at the business end of the year but we have the depth to cope. Fan will also be around the lads to help and guide them for the next couple of weeks too

Gutted! Deserves another Grand Final victory. I had a very good seat @Spurs, was delighted to see Faz and Batty walking round with the challenge cup!

Miracles can happen around injuries and history tells us of players overcoming injuries and playing, don't think it's a risk worth taking though.

No time for feeling sorry, we need to move on. Plan for next week now based on the troops we have available.

A big loss and such a shame given his effort all year . Never easy to take but the time of year must be equally difficult for him .

Never nice to see and wish him well in his recovery .

We can beat Salford at OT even without Faz!

Really hope he doesn't push it too hard in an effort to play for England in the World Cup (not because I'm Scottish) . The last thing Wigan and Faz himself needs is to aggravate the injury and miss a large chunk of next season. Good luck to Faz in his recovery.
