Pat Richards: Wigan gave me the best eight years of my life
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Paddy isn't too complimentary about Noble, if you read carefully.

The feeling is mutual
Great club man and great talent

Great player probably one of the best I’ve had the pleasure to see play. Imagine what could have been if we offloaded him in his first year when he had a shocker. Him and Amos on the wings both were class

Because for some reason when he was signed by Millward, he insisted on playing him at centre when he was clearly a winger!!
I remember giving him a "Superman" badge in his 2nd season. He carried it in his kit bag to every game he played for Wigan. When he was leaving him & his wife Kim, told me that they ransacked the house in Upholland looking for this badge as they were packing to return, they thought they had lost this small talisman. They eventually found it much to their relief

Great player. Was at his last game (2013 GF) and I can tell him he gave us as much as we gave him.
A true Wigan legend when the word gets thrown around too easily.
"Richards is Superman, Richards is Superman..."
