Wigan Warriors are excited to announce the next Loch Lomond Whiskies Legends series event will be with Club legend Pat Richards.

Taking place on Tuesday 20th December at Robin Park Arena, there will also be a special guest appearance from Poet Tony Walsh.

In the ‘Spirit of Wigan Warriors’, this is another unique opportunity for 200 Wigan fans to attend the filming of the popular Loch Lomond Whiskies event – following on from the most recent interview with Michael Maguire and Thomas Leuluai.

Executive Director Kris Radlinski will interview Richards about his Rugby League career and his eight-year spell at Wigan where he played 224 games and tallied 2,468 points with 168 tries, 896 goals and four drop goals. The former Irish winger won six major trophies with the Warriors and was named the 2010 Man of Steel.

The Loch Lomond Whiskies night will also see English Poet, Performer and Writer, Tony Walsh, perform three of his poems, including ‘Wigan: Peerless’ which he wrote specially for the Club’s 150th Year anniversary celebrations in 2022.

Tickets are now on sale – costing £20 each. Click HERE to get yours! https://campscui.active.com/orgs/WiganW ... ns/3121545

Doors will open from 6pm and filming is expected to finish around 8pm. There will be food and drink available to purchase on the night, as well as whisky tasting with Loch Lomond Whiskies.

Please note this is an Over-18s event.

The full edited feature will be published across the Club’s website, Wigan TV and social media channels in the following days after the recording.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Loch Lomond Group, said: “We are delighted to partner with Wigan Warriors on these amazing Legends Series events which go from strength to strength. We look forward to hearing from Pat Richards about his time at the Club. These evenings are a wonderful opportunity to showcase our shared values with Wigan Warriors and their supporters and cement our ongoing partnership.”

**Made this as a separate thread.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
