A never give up and appreciative attitude for our club is a massive part of what we love to see from players. His reaction in the final to the winning try was a real memory that will last for ever.
All these play a part of being a very valuable player for us . To be first choice in the most exciting back three in the league says it all.
Who released him?
My understanding is that Wane released him (Or just didnt sign him on from the academy) and then Matty P talked him into the reserves as they started back up the same year. Might be a bit off, but something along those lines. He was on a podcast a while ago that's well worth a listen, just cant remember which one!

Think he was just not signed by Wane as mentioned above and released after a preseason game against Leigh, he played second half if memory serves.
Pretty sure he went to Swinton but under Wigan's and Matty Peet eye and us telling him what he needed to do to get back, we always kept an eye on him, Im sure himself and Wane alluding to him being a bit carefree as a junior has been written but not sure where. When he played well and he ticked certain boxes we got him back. I think that time away and working a five day week was an eye opener, he often mentions how lucky he feels to be a pro player at Wigan because of it and maybe that's why it was done and what he needed, his attitude seems spot on now so credit to the coaches and himself.
