Wigan TV

Post by Jdh83 »

What are everyone’s thoughts on Wigan TV? I know it’s the off season, but no new content since mid October. Im pretty sure, new content is key to keeping viewers engaged with the channel and prevent subscriptions from dropping.

Its good value and keeping me sane in the close season :)

Fair point on new content, I'd expect some coverage to go up soon as training restarts and new players arrive.

Great value 😊
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Personally, I think it’s tremendous value during the playing season. I guess I’m just finding it frustrating signing in each week to find nothing new. Two weeks of pre season and a world cup which they could have created some content around.

Has the channel ever reached out to subscribers for suggestions or content requests?

It’s the same as the Official site, almost everything is on Social Media 🙁

It’s the Off Season & I’m sure there will be more things added in the coming weeks 😊

As to your last question, I’m not too sure about that.

We were on it last night and just enjoy watching the old games from the past - think it was 1992 the game we watched! Friday night is rugby night

Funny you should say that, I too watch old games on a Friday night in the off season 😊

To be honest I think they could have done interviews with the players starting training some video of the training and maybe watch the off season NRL channels what they do in the short off season It just seems to go to nothing posted , i have stopped switching to it now as nothing changes.

Yeh, I'm not a natural "Social Media" user but there are some good features on Twitter so maybe I'll change.

It can't be that difficult to put a link in Wigan TV/main site to any new Social Media post, TBF there are links to the social media sites at the bottom of the home page.
