i suppose from a Leeds perspective (and sure their fans would argue very similarly) they will have incurred costs for the redevelopment of Headingley, whether that be the cricket or rugby side of things, and they usually argue that all the costs get piled onto the rugby, so they are profitable (i know the numbers dont say that)

but generally if 4 of the biggest clubs arent making a profit, then it doesnt look particularly good for the game in general.

I have a feeling that this coming season is probably going to be the one that clubs want to be validated on, as last season was still a hangover from covid, so this will hopefully be the 1st season that all impacts / restrictions from covid have really gone. So the financial posting for 2022, may still show some losses, but equally they will start to pay some of the covid loans so budgets may have been impacted
