Wigan Warriors Community Foundation are seeking to appoint enthusiastic sports coaches to join a growing and vibrant team, in a new and exciting role that will assist in the delivery of school sports and community sport sessions in Wigan and surrounding areas.

The role aims to develop and increase the presence of Wigan Warriors throughout all localities across the borough of Wigan by primarily delivering on our PE and School Sport + Programme and Rugby Development Programme.

Other duties will include the delivery of holiday camp provision providing opportunities to access healthy recreation, sports participation, and educational opportunities for harder to reach members of the community.

Throughout all community work the key agenda is to create a culture of engaging more people, involving them in more activity and creating more supporters and spectators of Wigan Warriors.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

Support Foundation coaches with selected primary/secondary schools in delivering a range of sports, physical activity and mentoring related delivery.

Deliver high quality Rugby league and multi-sport sessions to children and young people across Wigan Warriors Community Foundations partner schools.

Work alongside Foundation coaches to deliver Holiday Activity and Food programmes in partnership with Wigan Council.

Ensure all activities are correctly monitored with the appropriate risk assessments and health and safety procedures put in place.
