Powell launches Testimonial shirt

Post by josie andrews »

Sam Powell launches shirt for 2023 Testimonial season.

Shirt to be worn against Salford on Sunday 5th February.

Available to buy from pop-up stall at Robin Park Arena this Thursday.

Sam Powell is delighted to reveal his specially designed shirt ahead of his 2023 Testimonial Season.

The shirt, which will be worn when Wigan play Salford Red Devils on Sunday 5th February 2023 in Sam’s Testimonial match at the DW Stadium, has been designed by Sam with some details very personal to him and manufactured by Kappa due to the issues with Elite Sports Group not being able to produce these due to administration. Kappa have kindly stood in to assist at very short notice.

It features a round neck with broad cherry and white hoop, similar to the shirt worn in his debut season. It also has an intricate sleeve design with a Poppy, Rose and Lily flower pattern, representing his three daughters and replicating his tattoo.

The main Testimonial partner Pall Mall Carpets’ logo is displayed on the front of the shirt, the sleeve partners are Morris Quality Bakers and Man Scaffolding Services Limited with Bluesky Plumbing Limited and Commhoist on the rear.

Sam’s Testimonial shirts are available in all sizes (from YS up to 5XL), each priced at £50.00 for Adults and £35.00 for Juniors.

Shirts will be available to buy at Thursday’s ‘Night Under The Lights’ event at Robin Park Arena from a pop-up stall and will be available to buy from the Warriors’ Store from the start of the New Year.

On the shirt launch, Powell said: “I am really excited for the launch of my Testimonial shirt. It is a privilege to bring out my own version of the famous cherry and white jersey and I hope you all like it.”

Sorry Sam, it’s not for me 😢
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

I have an idea we get one signed by Powell for Meds. With Powell on the back and his number.

Should I just lock this topic now? Quite like the black arms though.
