Loch Lomond Legends: Jason Robinson

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors are excited to announce the next Loch Lomond Whiskies Legends series event will be with Jason Robinson.

In the ‘Spirit of Wigan Warriors’, the latest instalment will take place on Tuesday 7th March, with another unique opportunity for 200 Wigan fans to attend the filming of the popular Loch Lomond Whiskies event – following on from the most recent interview with Pat Richards and special guest, poet Tony Walsh.

Chief Executive Kris Radlinski will interview Robinson, a Wigan Warriors Legend having played over 300 games for the club between 1991 and 2000. In his time at the club Jason won every honour and was Wigan’s try scorer in the first ever Grand Final in 1998 which earned him the Harry Sunderland Man of the Match Award.

Robinson also represented England and Great Britain before switching codes to Rugby Union, where he also had a glittering Club and International career.

Tickets are now on sale – costing £20 each. Click HERE https://campscui.active.com/orgs/WiganW ... ns/3121545 to get yours!

Doors will open from 6:30pm with filming set to start at 7pm. There will be food and drink available to purchase on the night, as well as whisky tasting with Loch Lomond Whiskies.

Colin Matthews, CEO of Loch Lomond Group, said: “We are delighted to partner with Wigan Warriors on these amazing Legends Series events which go from strength to strength.

“It will be a tremendous evening and what a wonderful opportunity to hear from Jason Robinson, a true Wigan Warriors legend on his career at Wigan and England.”

He added: “These evenings are a wonderful opportunity to showcase our shared values with Wigan Warriors and their supporters over a dram and cement our ongoing partnership.”

Please note this is an Over-18s event.

The full edited feature will be published across the Club’s website, Wigan TV and social media channels in the following days after the recording.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
