2023 Charity alternate kit launched

Post by josie andrews »

Third kit released after being unveiled at Pre-Season party at Robin Park Arena.

Warriors partner with music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins for 2023 season.

Third kit will be available in-store and online from 10am on Saturday 4th February.

Wigan Warriors and Technical Kit Partner hummel are delighted to launch the new replica alternate kit for the 2023 season, alongside charity partner Nordoff Robbins.

The turquoise shirt features a musical notes design, inspired by the work of our charity partner.

Featuring Nordoff Robbins’ logo on the front of the shirt, £5 from every shirt sold will be donated to the music therapy charity.

OpenExchange, the Club’s Principal Partner, is included on the front of the replica shirt with their logo.

The shirt also carries the logos of Technical Partner, hummel, together with sponsors The Skinny Food Co, Davanti Tyres, Steve Woods Ltd, Node4 and Complete Roofing Systems whilst the first team playing kit will also feature the logo of new partner Greenmount Projects Ltd.

The replica shorts feature Loch Lomond Whiskies. The first team playing shorts will also carry new sponsors LCS Pipeworks and FBW Engineering, whilst the socks carry the logo of Pall Mall Carpets.

Replica shirts are available in all sizes (from 0-6 months up to 8XL), each priced at £50.00 for Adults and £40.00 for Juniors. Mini kits are priced at £42.00 each.

Our warm-up t-shirt is also now available, featuring a musical instrument design and carrying the logo of music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins – it sits in harmony with the design of the playing kit. £5 from the sale of every warm-up t-shirt will also be donated to the Charity.

Please note that 2023 Season Ticket Holder discount is not available on any of the alternate apparel due to the Charity element.

Personalised and squad name and number printing on home, away and alternate shirts is available for £12 – online and in our Club Store.

Nordoff Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. By harnessing the power of music, Nordoff Robbins’ trained music therapists help break through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation, creating space for people to express themselves and find connection in society.

The charity reaches thousands of vulnerable people through their bases across the UK, and by working in partnership with organisations including care homes, schools and hospitals. Its work can be transformative, from an adult with dementia reconnecting with family, to a child with autism finding their voice. Find out more about the work of Nordoff Robbins HERE.

On the shirt, Sales Director, Geoff Warburton said: “Following the success of previous Charity alternate kits we are proud to be supporting Nordoff Robbins’ this year, a charity partner introduced to the club by our main club sponsors, Open Exchange. The kit is certainly something different in terms of colourways and is a fresh vibrant design that I am sure our fans will love this and buy it in good numbers. We will play in this kit at Magic Weekend and also selected away fixtures in 2023.”

Sandy Trappitt, Head of Partnerships, Nordoff Robbins, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with the mighty Wigan Warriors and we’re incredibly proud to have our logo featured on their music-inspired third kit for the 2023 season. Music and sport go hand in hand, and we have a long-standing relationship with the rugby community through the annual Legends of Rugby event in aid of Nordoff Robbins. All money raised from the sale of these shirts will go directly to supporting our delivery of music therapy to people across the UK, helping them to connect and communicate through the power of music.”

Brilliant evening put on by Wigan Warriors tonight. What a fantastic & spectacular show. Live singer from BGT & a live band

The special charity shirt, which is all about music therapy features music sheet & symbols on the shirt & saw the players put on a musical instrument video.

But what a surprise we got from the very talented Junior Nsemba who actually took part with the live band of the evening playing the drums! WoW
