With Ashton not being taken to hospital, I guess the paramedics would have just checked basics, i.e:
Heart, lungs, blood pressure?, eyes, memory, ribs, kidney's, abdomen etc.
If I have missed anything out or you have something to add to the list above then feel free to post it.

Like I said earlier, I am not a Paramedic but have had some first aid training.
I reckon that they would have checked his pupil reactions, his periferal vision, asked about any headaches, dizziness or nausea and vomitting and if he had remained conscious througout. They may have taken his pulse and checked his blood pressure and asked him if he had any pain in his body and possibly "pressed" on a few parts of his body to see if he noticed any pain. Apart from that and any obvious broken bones, I don't know what else they would have done.

I think that after the paramedics listened to his heart, lungs and breathing, they would have said, something like, "could you lift your top up please Mr Ashton to feel at your ribs, abdomen and kidney's".
Then they would have probably thoroughly felt his abdomen, kidney's, ribs.
