As much as LMS is a wind up merchant I think he offers a lot on the pitch (and not just the whinging!). Not sure about Eastmond though.

Wane's comments to the press would suggest not, maybe it's a smokescreen?nathan_rugby wrote:Heard strong rumour today that we are in advanced talks with both LMS and Kyle Eastmond.
Got this from the same guy who told me about Burgess, Hughes and Patrick so seems pretty reliable.
I can't really see where Eastmond fits in. We are covered in the halves and at fullback, and he isn't exactly established at centre nor the Wigan mould of player/size/attitude.
LMS, I just cannot work this one out at all.
Could this be linked to Leneghans London initiative somehow?

No chance of this happening another daft rumour.

Whilst I think we are in dire need of a quality prop and centre for next year, these two are not the quality I would be after.
Whatever happened to Billy McGinty's pineapple?

bit of a demoraliser if it is true I like to see the club bring in outside players and develop them

Thought the report said it was 'likely' that we wouldn't be signing anyone else. Maybe I mis-read it?
That said - I know for a fact that there was potential of a signing (definitely only the one though) about a month ago but no-one was saying names as they weren't sure whether it was going to come off or not. Maybe it fell through as predicted?

Re: LMS and Eastmond
No talk at the club of signing anyone, having said that, I would rather have no one than that total tool LMS who loves getting his face on the TV. NZ Warriors should give Sam an early release, he is not happy and it shows.

Agree with ddtftf and others. Not LMS. Poor example to young players.

That display last Friday could well put Eastmond off joining Wire.
I'd be happy with him at Wigan.
