Sam to Catalan?

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Richie on Rlfans who seems fairly reliable has said we are after David Mead from Catalan. Could be a swap for Sam.

Richie who stated that Gelling wasn't leaving because he had told Richie while they where working together on Gellings supplement plan for this season, 2 days later Gelling was gone :D

Get you big licks!

I couldn't care less to be honest whether he signs or not but thought people may be interested.

Mike you are forgetting the £s he could get from renting out the home around Wigan. Of course if he has a good accountant he will be told to sell that off and buy one and rent it out in London!

A nice house, even a very nice house in Wigan, won't buy you much in London.

If his accountant advised him to do that he is not a good one. A million down there might get you a decent pad. With a risky return. One bad tenant in a pad of that value there can ruin you.

If he was only getting £187k a year why would he be a marquee player?

Marquee limits cap value at 100K (for a club trained player) or 175K otherwise. So 187K would count for less on the cap if he were a marquee signing.

BTW I didn't bring up the 187K value, that came from the 750K divide by 4 which others mentioned.
