Surely a good, young No.7 should have good hands, good feet, pace and a quick eye to weigh up an opening.
Without being brutal on the lad, I fear he's none of these attributes !

PS Oh, and a decent kicking game.

Im not adverse to keeping Powell as has been said he is decent cover to have for a few different positions but he is just that, hes a cover player he should be no where near the 1st team when we have a fit squad

as long as he accepted that and his wage reflected that id have him

He was definitely good enough in 2016 to deserve to have stuck around. I'm not sure he's been consistently good enough since then to be maintained as a starting player in terms of cap space. But in terms of age and experience, he's a senior player now, so will be regarded as a starting player in terms of cap spend.

I don't think he should leave, just needs to be played in the right position.

He's had chances at 9 and half back and I can't see any other options for him. Just can't see him in the more fluid game plan that we're being promised.

Not heard that but did hear as the Williams dummy spit is because he asked to take a 12 month break in his contract to go to aus and Wigan turned it down.

Thanks KITD. Did Williams want to go for 12 months and then return to Wigan in 2020?
