even lam wont drop powell ,who actually picks the team

So you think he is poor as well then!?

Who would Lam play at 9 if he did drop him? TL who can’t do 80 minutes? What are his realistic options? Ganson didn’t handle the step up so who actually is our reserve hooker? Do we have one?

I think assuming Lam picks him for the same reasons Wane did is a bit of a stretch. Lam has little choice and he inherited Powell as a senior player on a three year deal. I think he’d drop him like a hot coal if he could but he’d have to pick an untried junior player.

I also think the only person who’d have Powell as no 1 on the team sheet is Wane and I am certain none of the teams who are likely to challenge for top five place would touch him with a barge pole.

So it's fair to say you don't rate him then, Dave?

I know a good 9 can be a massive bonus to a team, but then again, I've seen some of the NRL sides play *anyone* at hooker; a prop or a second row, Sam Thaiday, Ethan Lowe... for 40 minutes if not longer.
