That should give us some much needed consistency in a vital position we've struggled in recent times.

Just one cautionary note, he does have some discipline issues and is currently suspended on a biting charge, a similar offence that caused him to miss the third Test Match against the Kiwis.
Hopefully these issues can be sorted, so more fingers crossed !
He’s actually suspended for 9 games after admitting to eye gauging. He was banned for 4 games for the same offence against NZ (I think it was Watene-Zelezniak).

Cracking prop though and finger crossed it comes off.
He did not admit to eye gauging. He claimed there was no intention of it, and apologised to Robbie farrah saying the same.

That's correct.
The video evidence though, did look pretty damning.

Yea my wording was poor to be honest. He accepted responsibility for his actions but swore on his kids lives it wasn’t intentional.

Burgess, 27, accepted responsibility for placing his hands on Farah's face but continually denied any knowledge his finger was in Farah's eye. He said he was trying to slow down the play and was on "auto pilot"

If we can get that team together while offloading Williams (with heavy heart), Sarg, Escare (Avec coeur de loid?), T and miscellaneous squad men, then that is fantastic business...

Yep, you're quite right PGH. Case of mixing up the Burgesses with brother Sam's offences ! :?

Both Eye Gouging and Biting are 2 of those serious no, no offences although I understand he pleaded "not guilty".

Anyway, here's hoping ?

You’re absolutely right, but there will probably still be some on here calling IL a tight arse saying we should have got Sam Burgess instead.
If this comes off it’s job well done for me. Signed the best half back currently in SL, and a world class prop.
Fingers crossed.!!!
Yes we should have Sam instead!! 😉

Should we call Sam Powell: “Powell 2.0”?

Strong rumours coming out of Sydney media for Burgess and French. If so, massive for Wigan and fans.

Having a strong front row is the cornerstone of a good RL team and takes the pressure off the rest of the squad. The exciting thing for me is that it would make introducing our young forwads much easier. Kibula to name one is a big unit and has great footwork and can be a great assett.

If these signings come to fruition then stay away fans cannot gripe. I expect them to put their money where there mouth is.
