I know he has been on International duty but bringing a brand new playmaker only 3 weeks before the season starts is just plain daft .

Hes already back. Just seen him in Greggs in Platt Bridge ( he had a steak pasty)..

Really hope this isn't true. Especially given the number of quality halfbacks we could have gone for instead. James Maloney and Aiden Sezer in particular but even the likes of Luke Gale, Danny Richardson and Josh Drinkwater wouldn't have been bad options (and certainly better than Matty Smith, who will no doubt be the emergency replacement if this story is true).

Hopefully Hastings gets his arse into training sooner rather than later and this gets put to bed.
