Now being reported by rl mole

Saying he is unhappy with certain aspects of the deal - I hope this isn’t another Edwards scenario

Don’t release him, he’s tied down to a deal with Wigan now. If he does want to go demand a fee! Can’t play for anyone else as he’s registered to Wigan. Wigan have to play hard ball after the Edwards fiasco, stop being pushovers

Agreed. If this is true (still not confirmed) what the hell is he unhappy about? The marquee salary not enough? The get-out clause Wigan were kind enough to include not enough? Play hard-ball, tell him that unless someone comes in with an astronomical fee for him he'll rot on the damn side lines for a year.

If he refuses then IL must end Hastings career by holding on to his registration until he fulfills what is promised and not pay him a penny until he turns up.

Can not allow players and coaches to treat the club with contempt.

If he goes and a NRL club plays him the sue them as well for illegal approach.

This now has to be put to bed with players leaving as they feel they want to. IL needs to take the gloves off and play hardball. Or who is going next Gildart?. He will take one look and go if IL lets this carry on.

I didn't think the club's response was very strong TBH. They didn't deny the story at all, they just said what should be happening.

I suppose its all speculation at the moment but the story is gaining momentum. If true then it just about proves that IL cant run a piss up in a brewery, after the Edwards fiasco he should have ensured this signing was going to be a smooth transaction and without any hitches likely to arise. We seem to be lurching from one crisis to another and the buck stops with the person at the top.
