Had a whisper its worse than a minor hip injury could be degenerate bone disease like Sam had with his shoulder, I add its just a whisper but would make sense as to the way he has played . If this is true his time at Wigan will be short

Hope it isn't true but it would explain the pretty drastic loss of form.

It's an odd situation. Lam mentioned it was an ongoing issue but if he's injured why have we been playing him? Surely it's better for him not to play? Is it even possible to have an injury that heals with increased physical contact?

He had the hip problem at the start of the year. It was cited as the reason for him having probably the worst debut from a Wigan player in the last 20 years. He missed some games. Returned but offered very little and looked unfit. We've had months off due to the coronavirus situation yet he still looked poor after all that time off and is now injured again.

If the injury hasn't improved with so many months off then what's the issue? Does he require surgery? If he does then he should have the surgery now because he's not capable of offering anything on the evidence shown.

The coaches can call it a minor issue all they like but it seems to be having a major impact on his ability.

Have heard similar, Don't be surprised if Flower signs a new 1 year deal in the not so distant future.

We don’t have to have medical degrees to see something is very wrong with Burgess,be it medical or something else,be a shame if he is forced into retirement but if it is his hip that does him why the hell was he signed in the first place?

Oh goody! Least we know we will get one 5-6 metre hit up off him before he’s exhausted and has to go off

We’ll have a 5 metre hit up before he knocks on trying to break a tackle.
