New Prop

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Now that would be a good signing. Both Tom and George firing on all cylinders would suit me down to the ground.

He hasn’t been playing as a prop anyway but there isn’t a great deal of difference between prop and his role at 13 but the guy is about the same size as Partington. We do not need anymore players who are workaholics, aggressive and good defenders but don’t make much impact with the ball. We need a couple of 6ft+, 17 stone+ bruisers, who will dent the line and drag defenders with them. Rads and Lenagan should give the prop recruitment job to somebody else because it’s been an Achilles heel for too long now.

100% Agree.
100% from me

Although Luke Thompson would be a good recruit we need a bruiser to replace Burgess/Clubb. I'd be interested in Sidlow, taking Walmsley as an example of a lower league player slotting into an already strong pack means the unit improves.

If the rumours about Waney returning are true then our prop recruitment will be taken care of adequately, to say the least.
Got to say, if Shaun Wane does return it will feel more like "Wigan Rugby League" again!

Waney wasn't the biggest of props.

True, and folk were saying he wasn't big enough, wonder if that experience has stayed with him and fed into his coaching.

I should have added, he was one of the toughest.
