I agree, we must think that we can get Burgess fit.
Who's we? The club or us fans?
The Club and its medical staff.

I am told that GB is going to have another period of prolonged rest and if that doesn't work then an operation.

So could be out next season?
If so are we rid then?
Perhaps we could sign a lame duck after?😀

Don't know, don't know, perhaps.

Wont let me post a screenshot on here, but....

"swap deal agreed 2 of ours for 1 player in question (prop) verbally agreed to sign for us, contracts mailed to club/lawyers/agent, we was then informed everything was in order and scheduled a medical/signing of contract, player in question has signed a contract...... just with a different club. club absolutely livid"

I've since responded with

"F*ckin Hell ***** its like Edwards all over again, laughable really. who was the player? Mulhern? any more news on GB or any potential back up plan, surely they are looking if one was about to be signed

It's so difficult to know what's really going on if the club don't release a statement about George and I suppose it's their business if they don't want to. However, when they don't release details we're all going to speculate and here's my contribution. There is no way theat GB will be fit to play after another prolonged period of rest. He's already had several and this type of inury/wear and tear doesn't get better. The club is simply wasting time before the inevitable operation which means that he won't be fit for the whole season. He'd probably be wiser to retire and protect his health for the future. It's a disaster for the club to lose our highest paid player for what in reality will be two seasons because he didn't contibute anything useful this season. If we'd managed to sign another prop we could have covered for GB's extended absence but we've failed to do so. Recent posts suggest that we tried to sign someone which implies that the coaching staff acknowledged that we have a problem. We still have a squad that's good enough to push for honours but as soon as we lose a couple of props to injury we'll be in trouble.

So is it/was it Gil Dudson working off the above posts? Have we actually got a name or am I missing something?

I was told Wigan were looking at Mulhern/Watts, Mulhern has signed for Warrington, I can only assume it was him until I hear otherwise. the fact that was also a swap deal with Warrington also tells us Hull KR would of been open to a swap deal with us as well. (as per above message)

Interesting things going on at the club, the future looks promising.

Everything I post on here comes from somebody extremely well placed within the club like I have said several times.

Things change constantly in sport, especially around transfers.
I've no doubt Wigan will still try and sign a prop, if you read the Wigan today article Radz has said we need to shift players on before signing any more players, again, backs up the swap deal I mentioned.
