George Burges

Got a hot rumour from a source inside the club, or just something you heard down the pub? Then what are you waiting for, post it on The Rumour Mill.

Agree with the above, club management have definitely been left with egg on their face!

Surely the club and Burgess together could release a statement considering all the speculation.

This just gets better. Wonder how many (possible games/ actually played) we have had out of our marquee signings since it was introduced. There meant to be the best on the field ours are never on it!
Who have been our other marquees who haven’t played much ?

Tomkins was injured/required surgery when he arrived for his second spell. Then he broke his foot which iirc needed further surgery.

Then buggered off & left! ☹️
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

That he left after finally finding the form we all know he’s capable of still annoys me to this day

I was told but not sure how true that the club thought they were signing TOM BURGES not George

That's amazing if true. How did that end up happening? Any other information?

Maybe something similar happened with Clarke from Castleford as Rads said he was one of the most destructive forwards in the league.

Embarassment on all accounts.
