What do you mean he retained French and Hastings? They were contracted for this year. GW is not a done deal but even if it is, what has that got to do with recruiting Thornley?

The fact they are even looking at him just shows a lazy approach to recruitment. It’s just easy to approach him rather than scout out something better. As soon as someone put his name on the table that should have been the signal to go and start scouting. I don’t think the club is a patch on how it used to be when we had people spotting talent like young players of the calibre of Betts and Jason Robinson.
